    The Sports Academy at Mill Ride  

The Club currently has a unique golf educational programme being delivered at Mill Ride for young, aspiring golfers.  The Sports Academy began offering this programme at the start of the current academic year, which aims to give young golfers the opportunity to receive outstanding education along with specialist golfing tuition on a full-time and part-time basis.

The programme aims to:

• Maximise the golfing potential of young adults
• Support young individuals in realising their golfing dreams while still in education
• Create opportunities in education to live the life of a professional sports person

This is a unique opportunity to complete nationally recognised qualifications such as A-levels or BTECs whilst receiving the very best support and tuition to nurture an individual's golfing talent.

This innovative programme will ensure that aspiring young golf talent in the local area is given all of the foundations necessary to reach their full potential, something that is currently not available within an educational setting.

This outstanding opportunity for young golfers in Berkshire can lead to many exciting, varied progression routes including scholarships abroad, higher education and other desired pathways.  The programme is designed as a springboard for individuals looking to acheive their dreams of turning into playing professionals, qualifying as PGA coaches, or pursuing opportunities within the golf industry.

The programme is delivered by Stuart Morgan and Greg Woodcock, specialists in golf tuition, education, fitness and performance.  There are several golfers enrolled on the programme, which has increased the Mill Ride junior contingent, and we are committed in supporting the programme to grow year-on-year and allow young golfers within the area to develop and excel at our Golf Club.

The Sports Academy golfers are currently completing their 1-month Winter Training Camp in Malaga, an experience that is just one of the many features of this outstanding golf educational programme.
