Roll-ups - Monday-Wednesday-Friday
There will usually be a Seniors Roll-up, starting at 8.34am, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday all year round. Check News / Diary section of IG for details.
When there is no “organised” competition groupings and tee times will be allocated by the Pro Shop.
For Seniors Medals and Seniors Stablefords please sign up well in advance of the competition date using Intelligent Golf or by phoning the Pro Shop. The Pro Shop will allocate tee times which will be published in advance with entered players also receiving an email. Pay £3 (incl. £1 for the Seniors fund) when you check in with the Pro Shop on the day. Late entrants will be added provided there is room.
All other organised competitions – knockouts, etc. - can also be found on IG.
Seniors Organised Away Days
Dates of each year's away-days can be found in the Club’s online Diary (IG) and generally coincide with scheduled course maintenance. Details are also notified to members well in advance with participants signing up via IG. Away Days are currently organised by Steve Rogers who can be contacted with any queries.
The Club’s Seniors section plays inter-club matches during both summer (between April and October against 11 other clubs on a home & away basis) and winter (between late September and mid March in leagues of up to 6 clubs, again on a home & away basis). The former are purely friendlies but the latter are very much on a competitive basis with players being selected on merit based on handicap index trend and match performance.
If interested in participating members can add themselves to either Match Squad by selecting “View All Squads” option from the ‘Upcoming Matches’ IG web page, or alternatively by contacting the relevant Coordinator (Graeme Mason for Winter League, Dave Cottam for Summer Friendlies).
There is a seniors committee currently comprising:-
Seniors Captain – Andrew Whiting
Treasurer - John Kinghorn
Summer Friendly Match Coordinator - Dave Cottam
Winter League Match Coordinator - Graeme Mason
Away Days & Tours – Steve Rogers
Seniors Open Organiser - Nigel Rennie
Seniors Diary Organiser - Gerry Small
